This season is slated to be Michael Owen’s last time on the field.
Michael Owen has announced his intention to quit football at the end of the season.

Many of you may remember him during his debut against Wimbledon in May 1997 when he was just 17. Pressing on in his career as the former Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United or his current position as Stoke City‘s Striker.

To date Michael Owen has scored a total of 260 goals in 564 games.

The Football Association is currently opening talks with striker over an ambassadorial role which will allow him to share his experience with younger players in the future.
