According to NBC 7, the student also used school editing equipment to add music with vulgar lyrics to the video and upload it to YouTube.

The dance move, which Miley Cyrus told Ryan Seacrest is “a lot of booty action,” involves moving your hips in a suggestive manner. The video shows the girls twerking while doing handstands.
“The seniors involved are on senior review and have to ask for their prom and graduation back in front of a panel,” one of the teenagers involved in the incident told NBC 7. The appeals process is outlined on the San Diego Unified School District’s website.

The Scripps Ranch High School student handbook prohibits “verbal, visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature made by someone from or in the educational setting.”
